Sites that cannot be reached with an ADSL service, due to long line length, for example, can be connected to the customer's private VPN via a dial-up service. This is also a fast method of connecting the site to the private network, if the ISDN service already exists. Savings on call-costs can be achieved at a later date by migrating to an ADSL service, which is made easy by the plug & play, ADSL-enabled AlwaysON router.
Dialup connections terminate on AlwaysON dial servers and each call is authenticated before it is connected to the private network.
Dial up service are available for PSTN and ISDN and under a variety of charging options from pay-as-you-use to flat rate monthly - which is ideal for alarm monitored CCTV applications.
AlwaysON dial up capacity can be reserved to ensure guaranteed access. Dial-up ports and new end customers can be configured on-line via Compass.
