Reading, Berks - 4th February, 2008 AlwaysON was selected as an IIPSEC 2008 Award Finalist for its innovative IP over ISDN solution for a major Grocery chain.
 AlwaysON was approached by a major Grocery Chain to devise a remote monitoring solution for its IP CCTV cameras in 400 stores that utilised existing ISDN links. The result was an innovative application that led the IIPSEC 2008 judges to comment "An elegant and cost saving technical solution to realise the benefits of IP communication".
Using AlwaysON's fixed rate ISDN service, the customer was able to remove the variable costs associated with ISDN usage for CCTV alarms, false alarms and remote CCTV visual verification. The solution was also IP-enabled to provide a smooth future migration to a Private ADSL solution.
Simon Cross, AlwaysON's Sales & Marketing Director, received the finalist plague from IIPSEC Event Director Kevin Fagan (Left) and IP Focus Editor Paul Hennings (Right) at the IIPSEC Awards Gala dinner.
Last year, AlwaysON was an award winner for its managed network that simplified remote monitoring and management of alarm panels and CCTV for the Security industry.
